What's With My Team Today? Supporting Effective Communication

Do you ever wonder: why isn't our team just connecting? Whether it's a new team, a new member on the team, or a longstanding team, teams always need nurturing. Leaders should be vigilant to maintain an effective team, but how? This session will focus on communication, team dynamics based on individual behaviors and the impact of those behaviors on others. Participants will assess their own behavior and motivations, and explore how they affect their team as they approach challenges, problems and people. Participants will be able to answer the question about their team – do I really have a team or is it a group? This will be a lively session. Handouts and references will be given.

Registered participants will receive a link to create a personalized report that will be used in the session.

Through this event, participants will:
  • Understand their behaviors and the behaviors of their team in order to communicate their message with more clarity and understanding.
  • Understand what constitutes a healthy team and how a productive team works.
  • Learn about improving interactions with team members, clients, community, and even funders.
  • Assess their behaviors and motivations and receive a personalized report.

Who Should Attend:
Anyone who is a leader, supervisor, or aspiring leader. Note: Teams of 3-6 are encouraged for maximum benefit; however all are welcome.

About the Presenter:
Francis Eberle works with social enterprises and their leaders; both private and public, to improve them by helping them see options that they may not see themselves. He is a thought-leader and coach supporting effective leaders and organizations. A past executive, he believes people development is business development. People are key for improving strategy, culture, and performance. He has successfully partnered with leaders and teams to improve their skills, solve complex problems, grow financial and programmatic resources, and engage partners to expand their reach. Francis has presented widely and published many articles/blogs on leadership, policy and education. He has also co-authored four books. Currently, he is a Leadership and Organization Advisor at Price Associates.
