Program Coordinator

Maine Association of Nonprofits (MANP)

The Maine Association of Nonprofits (MANP) is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator to work with our Director of Education and Event Assistant to organize, promote, host, and evaluate training and education programs. We are seeking a diverse candidate pool and our ideal candidate is a skilled communicator and resourceful problem-solver with high attention to detail and customer service. 

The Program Coordinator’s primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Recruiting, coordinating and supporting volunteer presenters
  • Scheduling and coordinating details related to programs and events: venues, catering, equipment, volunteers, materials, registrations, communications and other related tasks
  • Representing MANP at programs and events
  • Coordinating event marketing and promotion 
  • Maintaining program related records, equipment and supplies

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Passion for working with Maine’s nonprofit sector
  • Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years relevant professional experience 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and work management skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as in teams
  • Resilience, flexibility and a creative approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to take initiative to identify and propose new tasks and procedure
  • Strong customer service orientation and satisfaction in providing assistance
  • Experience with web-based technology for learning and communications, including webinar platforms and social media
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and SurveyMonkey
  • Willingness to travel, reliable transportation, valid insurance and driver’s license
